.. I gave in and bought a CDRKING tablet case with keyboard

When I heard about Microsoft releasing the official Microsoft Word app for Android devices, I downloaded it immediately. There were some good document-apps out there but nothing satisfied my need for the good old Microsoft Office. I needed all the formatting that Word actually provides and I've gotten really frustrated with apps that you could write on but will make your file corrupted when you start inserting a table. I've already had too many stressful nights-before-the-deadline for me to let that happen again.

Microsoft Word for Android (Feb 2015)

The Microsoft Office app for Android made me stop looking for a cheap portable laptop I could bring to work instead of my tablet. But I needed a physical keyboard to be able to write my reports better.

Knowing that I'd be going to the US in a few months, I decided to buy just the cheap version of a tablet case with keyboard at CDRKING (a popular local source of cheap electronics and gadgets). Their online catalog store/website showed some promising cases, I just had to make sure that the one I buy would be compatible with my Nexus 7 2nd Gen tablet.

Unfortunately, I left my tablet at home the first time I went to one of their physical stores. One of their sales clerks and their security guard (when their sales clerk was unavailable or busy)  advised me that it would be better for me to bring and test my tablet with the products before I buy. This was a good advice because when I came in the second time (with my tablet) I found out that my 1st and 2nd choices for a case didn't work with my Nexus7 for some unidentifiable reason.

So I settled with a different color of my 1st choice/version of a tabet case because it was the one that actually worked. Sad to say I'm still getting used to the color (It's orange!) but as long as it was useful and it was cheap I'm going to be fine with it.

The tablet case with keyboard costs just Php280 (approximately $6.33 US) and I bought it at the Trinoma branch of CDRKING.
